There was a fire in a trash can (which was wicker) in a bedroom. The floor and wall were damaged. The fire was put out without water. The room was smoke filled and still has a heavy odor. This occurred yesterday.

I would like to schedule an assessment and cleaning estimate for a unit in a fourplex that I own. The tenants that vacated the unit were heavy smokers. The property manager had the unit professionally cleaned, new carpet installed, and new paint on the walls, ceilings, and trim. However, the cigarette smell is still noticeable. The painter did not wash the walls or ceilings before painting and did not apply any primer. We used a chlorine dioxide fogger which reduced the smell. Thanks.

Choosing A Fire Damage Contractor

Fire Damage Restoration - Choosing A Fire Damage Contractor If your property has suffered fire damage, hire only a qualified and certified fire damage restoration contractorx to mitigate your losses and begin the process of restoration. Fire damage companies have access to special technologies and methods, by which they can control odors, eliminate soot and ash, monitor air quality and remove stains from your structure and belongings. A general contractor is simply not equipped with the same level of expertise.

fire restoration company in Memphis, Tennessee Fire restoration is a job that demands immediate attention. This does not mean however, that you hire the first fire damage contractor you come across. Take your time and make use of diligence to hire the right contractor for the job. Your contractor should have the necessary licensing requirements for his trade. Some verifiable bodies are the American Industrial Hygiene Association, Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification, and the National Air Filtration Association. Don't take his credentials at face value. Look up the websites of these companies on line and verify his credentials. Your contractor should also have many years of experience in the business. It helps if you hire a contractor who has experience restoring properties on the same scale of fire damage as yours.

Make sure that your fire repair company comes with enough liability coverage and worker's compensation coverage. If there are sub contractors involved, they will need to have sufficient coverage too. Your fire damage restoration specialist should be able to give you an estimated time frame for the completion of the project. He should be able to give you a detailed estimate of the cost of the project in writing, and should be able to offer a warranty of his work. Make sure that you have a list of references so you can check the veracity of his credentials. Call these references and ask them about the contractor -- did he complete the restoration on schedule? Was the work thorough and professional? Would they recommend the services of the fire damage contractor? We make finding professional reputed fire damage restoration specialists like this in Memphis, easy and hassle free. Simply fill out your details in the form, and we'll put you in touch with professional and experienced fir repair companies in Memphis.
